Home, in a small world
We returned Wednesday night from a cross-country journey to the wilds of Maryland to visit my dear Alli. Cale was schooled in the ways of the video game Guitar Hero and I was schooled in the dangers of triple sec enhanced sangria. We took in some sights in our nation's capital but were unable to view the 20 foot statue of Divine that is purported to preside over Baltimore's south harbor. So, next time.
Yesterday I assisted at a wedding that took place at an historic lodge in Strawberry, CA, somewhat near lake Tahoe. On the drive there, I discovered that the bride and groom not only live nearby, but are literally only 2 houses down the street from us! I also met one of the bride's friends there who is our direct next door neighbor. I was surprised, but not too surprised, as I love to revel in the pretty little "coincidences" that the world often likes to pass our way.

New Favorites

Some kids at some weddings love, I'm telling you LOVE, to mug for the camera. I never managed to learn this little girl's name but I imagine she's probably lost this tooth by now.

And some kids are cute, I'm telling you CUTE, such as this little boy Zachary here. He took quite a shine to me for some reason and was running around all night saying "Where's Sarah? Where's Sarah?" His enthusiasm made me smile very much.
