Watching the Detectives

Okay, I know it's a bad habit to just repost from Wiley Wiggins, but he had a link to this article about Scanner up today and I found it to be quite interesting and insightful. So check it out, all my little slackers and non-slackers!

What goes up

There has been a lull in my blogging efforts as I spent most of last week getting the Six Jewish Girls exhibit up and ready for it's one-night-only stand. I think the evening was successful. You can read some things about the show at the link above. We began hanging the show on Tuesday, worked all day Wednesday, up to the very last second on Thursday and, after their brief moment in the spotlight, the girls came down off the walls around 11pm in less than an hour. I am glad it is done.

I am crestfallen

I was gonna go! I've been planning to go for months! And then I saw that it was actually happening and I was actually gonna go and I was about to buy plane tickets to Austin and then...
I realized that, just over 24 hours after the tickets went on sale for the Scanner Darkly premiere, they were already sold out. I am in fact crestfallen. But I am trying to have a good attitude. Maybe I'll go for the Fast Food Nation premiere??

My friend

This is Fredericka. She is niece of the groom of the wedding I shot last Saturday and was by far my favorite person to talk to throughout the day. When she asked me to take a picture of her headband, it was one of the few times she didn't respond to the camera with an exuberant "cheeeeeese!" Even though she reported having to miss cheerleading camp to be in the wedding, I was glad she was there.

Criterion: Dazed!

Looking at this page in Explorer? Formatting gone all wacky recently? I am not sure why. Look at in Safari and you'll see that it's just perfect. My html knowledge is not fully equipped to handle this quandary. Hmm.

Dear people: sometimes, I am socially inept. It's true. I hope you forgive me this. But sometimes I also do my hair in pretty awesome styles when I get bored. I hope you like this prime example.
